Nursery Admissions

Ravensdale has a wonderful nursery provision that caters for children that are aged 3 and 4.

The Ravensdale nursery follow the 'Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum'. 

We offer 24 full time places with an additional 14 places for AM only and 14 places for PM only.

Details of our school's admissions criteria are available from the school office. 

Our nursery times are 9.00am - 12.00pm and 12.00pm - 3.00pm. 

In England, each child is entitled to 15 hours free government funding per week (during term time) for the academic year prior to starting school. Children need to be 3 years old by 31st August to qualify for a Nursery in that school year.

If your child is offered a full time place but is not eligible for a 30 Hour Funding Code, the cost is £14.00 per day, £70 per week. 

If you have another child in school and are looking to bridge the end of the nursery day and school day (3pm - 3.25pm), we also offer afternoon Raven Club, our wraparound provision for £2.00 per day.

 Admission to our Reception Classes:

The School Standards and Framework Act 1998 requires all infant class sizes to be limited to a maximum number of 30. For this reason, the school’s admission number for Reception is 60.

Decisions regarding admittance to our Reception classes each September are made by Coventry City Council.

 Admission to Other Year Groups

Moving children from one school to another is discouraged by Coventry City Council unless you have moved house. 

If you need to request a school transfer, please contact the Admissions team on 02476 975445.

We are happy to arrange visits for families who have been allocated a place at Ravensdale Primary School – please contact the school office to arrange this.
